Registration, abstract submission & payment

Dear Participant, please carefully read and follow the description below to register for the conference. Please note that you will have to pay and submit an abstract during the registration process. Payments can only be made via credit card, TWINT, Apple Pay, or Google Pay.

The number of participants is limited to 120. Please register early. In case of overbooking, we will prioritize researchers working with Brachypodium species and/or other grass models.

Registration fees (includes board and lodging)

PhD students: CHF 870.-*

Postdocs: CHF 970.-*

Principle Investigators: CHF 1070.-*

Industry: CHF 1570.-*

*fee is for shared rooms (double bookings). Single rooms are subject to a surcharge of 270.- CHF and are limited.

Registration includes: Access to all sessions of the conference (talks and poster session) | All meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner), welcome drink and coffee breaks | Four-night accommodation (check-in July 6, check-out July 10, rooms have been pre-booked) | Excursion & Conference dinner on Isole di Brissago | VAT

To benefit from the published rates, registrants are requested to use their (valid) institutional email address.

Travel expenses and possible fees associated to the payments are at charge of the registrants. Attendees who would like to extend their stay should contact the venue directly (info@monteverita.org) and make their own arrangements by paying separately for such extensions.

Once you have successfully paid the fee, you will receive a confirmation email sent by the Saferpay platform, confirming payment of the registration fee. (Please check your spam folder.)

Cancelation policy: Until April 30, registration fees will be refunded minus 100 CHF cancellation fees.

Financial support: Limited financial support for is available for researchers that cannot afford to pay. Please reach out to the organizers directly (michael.raissig@unibe.ch) to explain your situation and request financial support.

Bedrooms

The number of single rooms is limited, and some have a shared bathroom.

If you wish to share a twin room with a colleague, please provide both names when booking.

If you wish to book a shared double room with an accompanying person (not active participant), please provide both names when booking. Be aware that accompanying persons pay the standard room price and are not entitled the CHF 28.- additional price reduction per person and night granted by CSF/ETHZ to active participants.

Abstract guidelines

All participants are expected to actively contribute to the meeting and are expected to submit an Abstract for a talk or a poster. 24 abstracts will be selected for talks and the remaining abstracts will be invited to be presented as posters (with a possible flash talk of 2min).

Abstract guidelines

Abstracts must be submitted as Word doc, must be in English and include the title, authors list, and affiliations (each affiliation should be listed at least once). Presenting author should be underlined.

The abstract should be submitted with the agreement of all listed authors and organized keeping in mind context, methodology, results & discussion.

Length: Max 250 words (title, author list and affiliations excluded).

No tables or graphics should be included in the abstract.

When using abbreviations within the body of the abstract, please spell out the name in full at first mention and follow with the abbreviation in parenthesis.

It is the responsibility of the author to ensure abstract text does not contain any typos or grammatical errors

No changes can be made after submission.

Poster specifications

Poster should be in A0 portrait format (84,10 cm wide x 118,90 cm high) and, as the abstract, organized keeping in mind context, methodology, results & discussion.
